Disneyland '13

The last week of September, I was so very lucky to go to Disneyland with Mom, Jordyn, and Ellie. The drive was long, but the girls were troopers. We had a blast. Here's our trip in pictures!

Pluto is our favorite!

I was super excited to go on the new Star Tours.

Ellie did great at napping in her stroller.

First time getting stuck on a ride!
(stuck as in the ride shut down and cast members had to retrieve us)

Jord super loves Tarzan's Tree House

Snakes! Why does it have to be snakes?

Jord is a terrible driver!

. . . and, the back side of water!

Unfortunately, I am too old for the Phineas and Ferb "Best Day Ever" Dance Party

King Triton's Carousel

Jordyn got bored waiting for the Cars ride, so #sillysisterselfies

Guys. I love her. She's a doll.

Even Jessie thinks so!

Mom wouldn't be in any pictures, so it's just me and my two girls! :)

I really love Toy Story Midway Mania.
And I'm not very accurate.
(I'm on the left)

Heimlich's Chew-Chew Train

Droppin' the girls off at college. It'll be a scream!

Jordyn is big enough for single rider & prefers that to hour long waits.

A picture of Mom!!

Princess!

We got to go on a ride all together!

"I think I'll just chew on your lanyard, Grandma!"

Me and Mom before Jedi Training Academy

Buzz Lightyear is always a fav. I even did pretty well, considering I was holding Ellie!

One more time on the carousel!

Jordyn and Ellie the morning we left.
Love my cute girls!

We had a great trip! Thanks Mama! Love ya!

Adventures in House Hunting

Since Cassidy got a full time job and decided not to go to Grad School this fall, we've been searching for a more permanent place to live up here. We originally started looking at town homes, but then decided to find a less expensive, older home. We've seen a few sets of houses and are starting to figure out what we do and don't like. There was a home we were really excited to see, but it had gotten pretty trashed since the pictures were taken. It needs way too much work done, so we had to cross that one off our list.

Then, the other day, we may or may not have accidentally broken into a house.

See, there was a house with no pictures online, so we wanted to drive past it to see if it was worth seeing. Well, the house was vacant, so we got out of the car and were looking around. There was an open window in the back, so I was looking through the window. Then I decided to try the back door. It was unlocked, so I went in. Then there was a beep!

It was the motion sensor on the alarm system! So we had to hurry and leave!!!

Last night we saw another older home we really liked, but it was in a renter neighborhood, so we had to cross that off our list too. Bummer.

Here's hoping we can find our home soon!

Another Wedding!

Summer is wedding season, for sure! Last weekend, a cousin of Cassidy's got married. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and then in door reception at a Country Club in Cedar Hills. It was great to catch up with everyone and see folks we hadn't in a while. Ellie was pretty well behaved, too! She even tried some new foods:

Gnawing on Cassidy's pretzel : Sucking on yellow peppers!

They had a Photo Booth at the wedding, so we got some of these gems:

And, of course, one of Cass with the lovely Leslee!

Bondehagen Wedding

On August 1st, Natalie, one of my best friends, married her sweetheart, Erik Bondehagen. They were married in the Timpanogas Temple and I was lucky enough to be able to attend their ceremony. It was actually a little crazy: the Sunday before the wedding I realized that my temple recommend would expire on July 31st, so I had a rush to get it renewed before Thursday! Then, we're at the temple, and it hadn't been activated yet! Luckily, they were able to confirm that it was a real recommend & let me in.
Emily watched Ellie during the ceremony & left some cute pictures on my phone.

Dinner up Provo Canyon.

The 4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at my parents house. We got up bright and early to go watch Matthew play the cymbals in the Provo Parade.
We hung out at home during the day, then the cousins came over and we barbecued for dinner. That night Dad and Matt set off some fireworks in the driveway and then we watched more fireworks from the patio.

The Great McCoy Weekend

Two weekends ago was our Great McCoy weekend. Cassidy's Grandpa Harry had his 75th birthday and a lot of family came out to help celebrate. On Saturday, Harry was given the best present of all as he baptized his younger sister. It was really neat to be at the baptism. Everyone was very excited ad a little emotional to see Ann be baptised.

That night there was a "luau" to celebrate Grandpa Harry's birthday. The Soaki family made us a yummy dinner and then performed for us.
Sunday we had more festivities. Ann was confirmed in church and we barbecued for dinner. It was a fun weekend!

Ellie loved being the center of attention!

Welcome to Crazy Town!

So our lives have been a little crazy lately! The past few weeks have involved many a drive up and down i15. We spent time searching for apartments and interviewing for jobs. On one of our weekends up, the McCoy side of the family had a "Welcome to the Family" Party for Ellie. We were able to get a few cute pictures of Ellie with some cousins.

Then Cassidy got offered a job and we decided to move on up! We're currently living with Cass's dad while he works for Greenify, and then we'll be moving down to Provo for school in the fall. It's been a busy and crazy few weeks!
